Yes, small is hard. I reccoment ArtBoard for acrylics if you don't like the canvasy texture. ArtBoard is smooth, but works the same as canvas for acrylics. Very nice for them.

Oh. Everything I said about the cat painting goes for this too. Just gorgeous, and so real. ^.^
