Snow leopard
20" x 25" / 50 x 65 cm Chalk pastels 25 hours This drawing was quite a challenge. Partly because of the format - it's the biggest I've ever drawn before - and partly because I gave myself a deadline of only a week as I didn't want to go back to spending months on a piece, I ltend to lose interest in it after a while when I do that - but mainly because I haven't actually drawn or painted at all in over a year. This is also the first big cat I've tried my hands on, AND my third pastel ever - my first with chalk pastels! All in all, I'm very happy about the outcome. (HEY! Can you find my signature? It's 'hidden' somewhere in the painting) Wonderful reference by Crias at wetcanvas.com, her website can be found here: [link] |

Allt ser så lent och mjukt ut, och jag gillar hur pälsen formar sig efter stenarna, och dess intensiva blick. *suck* Underbart.
>< I thought it was a picture at first!
